A growing and well-established organization in the Santa Barbara area is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to join its collaborative team environment. The ideal candidate is organized, approachable, detail-oriented, and eager to contribute across a broad range of HR functions while helping foster a positive workplace culture.
What You’ll Do
Support daily HR operations including employee relations, onboarding, compliance, and HR administration
Assist with payroll processing by reviewing employee data, time records, pay changes, and related documentation
Help administer employee benefits programs, including enrollments, updates, and employee support
Maintain accurate employee records and ensure HR documentation remains compliant and up to date
Coordinate onboarding and offboarding activities, orientations, and employee paperwork
Partner with leadership and employees to provide guidance on policies, procedures, and workplace matters
Support leave administration and HR reporting as needed
Assist with employee engagement initiatives, training coordination, and performance management processes
Participate in special projects and provide support wherever needed to help the HR team operate efficiently
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required
3+ years of Human Resources experience with exposure to multiple HR functions
Experience assisting with payroll and benefits administration preferred
Knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
Professional communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS systems
