Human Resources Manager (Employee Relations Focus)
We are seeking an experienced Human Resources professional with a strong background in employee relations and HR systems (UKG required) to support a workforce of approximately 300–350 employees. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and can balance day-to-day HR operations with strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
HRIS Management:
Oversee and maintain HR systems, with a primary focus on UKG (experience with ADP Workforce Now is a plus).
Employee Relations:
Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations matters, including investigations, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution, ensuring fairness and consistency.
Leave of Absence Administration:
Manage LOA requests in compliance with company policies and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
Labor Law Compliance:
Interpret and apply employment laws to ensure organizational compliance and mitigate risk.
Training & Development:
Design and deliver training programs that support employee growth and organizational effectiveness.
Onboarding & Orientation:
Lead onboarding initiatives to ensure a smooth and engaging new hire experience.
Union & Non-Union Workforce Support:
Partner with leadership and labor representatives to effectively support both unionized and non-union employee populations.
Policy Development:
Develop, update, and communicate HR policies and procedures aligned with best practices and legal requirements.
Performance Management:
Guide managers in performance evaluations, coaching, and implementation of improvement plans.
Strategic HR Partnership:
Collaborate with leadership to align HR strategies with business objectives and foster a positive workplace culture.
Key Qualifications
Strong UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group) experience required
Proven expertise in employee relations (highly hands-on)
Experience supporting a workforce of 300+ employees
Solid understanding of labor laws and compliance
Experience in both union and non-union environments preferred
Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
