We are hiring a hands on Senior HR Generalist to own day to day HR and payroll operations across a diverse group of business units, including apartments, land development, commercial/retail, aviation, cannabis (financials only), and congregate living.

What you will do
Payroll (critical function)
Own full cycle payroll processing for multiple entities using ADP Workforce Now
Manage biweekly and semi monthly payroll cycles, ensuring accuracy and on time processing
Review and validate timecards, earnings, deductions, and adjustments
Maintain payroll records, reports, and audit ready documentation
Partner with Finance on payroll reporting and reconciliations
HR generalist responsibilities
Manage full cycle recruiting: job postings, screening, interview coordination, offers
Conduct New Hire Orientation and drive a smooth onboarding experience
Support managers with performance reviews, corrective actions, and coaching
Administer benefits, enrollments, changes, terminations, and open enrollment
Reconcile monthly carrier invoices and maintain benefits data accuracy
Employee relations & compliance
Serve as a trusted contact for employees and managers across all business units
Provide policy interpretation, guidance, and support for employee relations matters
Conduct or support investigations, documentation, and follow up actions
Track and administer PDL, CFRA, FMLA, and other leaves of absence
Ensure compliance with federal and California employment laws, including wage and hour, EEO, and safety
HRIS & projects
Maintain accurate HRIS and payroll data across multiple systems
Build and run HR and payroll reports in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas)
Support executives and operations leaders with reporting, metrics, and special projects
