Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced HR / Bookkeeper for a direct hire opportunity in Lake Elsinore, CA. This hands-on role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys owning both day-to-day accounting and human resources operations in a manufacturing or operations-focused environment.
The HR / Bookkeeper will support company leadership by maintaining accurate financial records, managing payroll and HR administration, coordinating vendor and contract documentation, and providing light office technology support. Key Responsibilities
- Maintain general ledger activity, financial records, accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, and reconciliations.
- Process payroll, support payroll tax filings, administer benefits, and maintain accurate employee records.
- Manage onboarding, offboarding, HR documentation, leave administration, and employee relations support.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close, reporting, cash flow monitoring, budgeting support, and coordination with external accountants or auditors.
- Track contracts, vendor agreements, renewals, insurance requirements, and related compliance documentation.
- Provide basic IT coordination, including employee equipment setup, access management, software license tracking, and communication with IT vendors.
Compensation and Benefits
- Direct hire opportunity.
- Pay range: $42.50 to $45.00 per hour.
- Annual compensation listed as $60,000 to $70,000 based on a 30-hour workweek.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM.
- 30-minute lunch.
- 30 hours per week, 6 hours per day.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Manage daily bookkeeping, accounting records, payroll processing, and financial reporting support.
- Lead HR administration, including employee records, onboarding, offboarding, benefits, leave programs, and compliance documentation.
- Coordinate contract administration, vendor documentation, renewals, and compliance tracking.
- Provide limited basic IT support coordination for employee accounts, equipment, and software tracking.
- 5+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience.
- 3+ years of HR administration experience.
- Experience with payroll, benefits administration, and vendor coordination.
- Familiarity with QuickBooks, Microsoft Office, and HR or payroll systems.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Human Resources, or a related field preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, confidentiality, and follow-through.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work directly with leadership in a professional office environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a manufacturing, production, operations, or small-to-mid-sized business environment.
- Experience coordinating with external accountants, auditors, payroll providers, benefits vendors, or IT service providers.
- Working knowledge of employment law compliance, HR documentation, employee handbooks, and payroll-related reporting.
