Job Summary

We are seeking a part-time HR Admin for a contract/temporary opportunity in Oakland, CA within the medical devices and supplies industry. This role is ideal for an HR professional who enjoys hands-on administrative work, payroll support, benefits coordination, onboarding, compliance documentation, and light recruiting.

The HR Admin will support day-to-day human resources operations in a collaborative, team-oriented environment. This position offers a flexible part-time schedule and the opportunity to contribute to a supportive workplace where accuracy, responsiveness, and strong employee support are valued.

Key Responsibilities

- Process and support ADP payroll activities, including accurate data entry and related administrative follow-up.
- Upload, organize, and maintain employee documents and HR files within ADP and internal systems.
- Assist with benefits filing, enrollment support, and employee documentation.
- Support light recruiting activities, including job postings and initial applicant screening.
- Coordinate onboarding tasks and help ensure new hire paperwork and compliance requirements are completed.
- Manage county account-related HR administration, compliance filing, and other HR support duties as needed.

Compensation and Benefits


- Pay: $32.00 per hour.
- Job Type: Contract/Temporary.
- Schedule: Part-time, Tuesday and Wednesday.
- Hours: Flexible schedule, starting at approximately 4 hours per day and increasing up to 6 hours per day.
- Location: Oakland, CA.
- Start Date: 9/3/2026.



Required Qualifications and Skills

- Support ADP payroll processing and HR document filing.
- Assist with benefits enrollment, onboarding, and employee file maintenance.
- Post open roles and complete initial applicant screening.
- Maintain compliance records and support county account administration.

- 2-5 years of human resources, HR administration, payroll, or related administrative experience.
- Experience using ADP for payroll, filing, document uploads, or HR administration.
- Familiarity with benefits administration, onboarding processes, and compliance documentation.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate, confidential employee records.
- Professional communication skills with the ability to support employees, applicants, and internal teams.
- Ability to work independently in a part-time schedule while managing priorities efficiently.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience supporting HR functions in a healthcare, medical device, manufacturing, or regulated environment.
- Prior experience with light recruiting, applicant screening, and job posting coordination.
- Familiarity with county account management or compliance-related HR filing.
- Comfortable working in a flexible, evolving part-time role with changing administrative priorities.
