Grant Associate
Are you a detail-driven grant professional with a passion for nonprofit work and a proven track record of successful grant writing? We’re looking for a Grant Associate who brings stability, strong writing skills, and hands-on nonprofit grant experience to join a mission-driven organization.
What You’ll Do:
Research, write, and manage government, foundation, corporate, and community grants
Prepare compelling grant proposals, budgets, reports, and compliance documentation
Monitor grant expenditures and ensure adherence to funding requirements
Partner with Executive Leadership, Finance, Contracts, HR, and Program teams
Support comprehensive fundraising strategies with the Development Director
Manage internal and external communications with funders
Track grant calendars, solicitations, reporting deadlines, and deliverables
Maintain organized electronic and hard-copy grant files
Attend funder meetings, bidders’ conferences, and related presentations
Provide program teams with contract and award overviews
Assist with ad-hoc projects as needed
What We’re Looking For:
2–3+ years of professional nonprofit grant experience
Strong background in grant research, writing, reporting, and management
Experience writing government grants (federal, state, county, and/or city)
Bachelor’s degree required (advanced degree preferred)
Excellent writing, editing, and analytical skills
Proven success managing multiple grants and deadlines
Strong organizational, strategic, and relationship-building skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Adobe Design Suite a plus)
Ability to work collaboratively across departments and leadership teams
Self-starter with strong attention to detail and quality
Passion for nonprofit work and commitment to the organization’s mission and values
