General Manager – Precision Metal Parts Manufacturing

Location: Temecula, CA
Type: Full-time, On-site, Direct Hire
Pay: $120,000 to $150,000

We are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead a high-precision metal parts manufacturing operation serving the aerospace and defense industries. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for driving production performance, operational efficiency, and overall business growth. The ideal candidate brings deep knowledge of CNC machining and metal parts manufacturing, combined with strong leadership, business acumen, and the ability to inspire and develop a skilled team.

Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all daily operations of the precision machining facility, ensuring production goals, quality standards, and delivery timelines are consistently met.

Lead, mentor, and build a high-performing team—selecting the right supervisors and key personnel to strengthen operations and support continued growth.

Manage P&L performance, budgets, and financial reporting while maintaining focus on throughput, efficiency, and profitability.

Collaborate with ownership on strategic planning, performance metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Drive accountability on the shop floor and ensure a culture of ownership, quality, and teamwork.

Implement and optimize systems, processes, and workflows to streamline production and improve scheduling, communication, and efficiency.

Maintain strong relationships with aerospace and defense customers, ensuring responsiveness, technical credibility, and consistent satisfaction.

Engage directly with production and engineering teams to troubleshoot issues, monitor workflow, and ensure product quality from raw material to final inspection.

Champion ERP utilization (experience with ProShop ERP is a strong plus) and data-driven decision-making to enhance operational visibility.

Qualifications:
Extensive experience in precision metal parts manufacturing (CNC machining environment required).

Proven track record leading production teams in a machine shop setting—ideally within aerospace, defense, or high-spec industries.

Strong understanding of machining processes, materials, tooling, tolerances, and quality standards.

Demonstrated success managing P&L and driving operational and financial performance.

Hands-on, collaborative leadership style—comfortable on the production floor and in front of customers.

Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills; motivated to “get product out the door” while maintaining quality.

Experience implementing ERP or production management systems; ProShop ERP familiarity highly preferred.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to connect across teams, vendors, and customers.

The Ideal Fit:
You’re a leader who understands the intricacies of parts manufacturing—not just how the business runs, but how the machines, materials, and people all work together. You thrive in a dynamic environment where your decisions directly impact production and profitability. You’re motivated, accountable, and ready to guide a growing company through its next phase of transformation.
