General Manager – CNC Metal Parts Manufacturing
Location: Temecula, CA
Type: Full-time, On-site, Direct Hire
Pay: $120,000 to $150,000
We are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead a CNC metal parts manufacturing operation serving the aerospace and defense industries. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing production performance, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction in a high-precision, fast-paced environment.
The ideal candidate brings deep experience in CNC machining and metal parts manufacturing, strong business acumen, and the ability to earn credibility quickly with demanding aerospace and defense customers such as Boeing and Northrop Grumman.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all daily operations of the CNC machining facility, ensuring production goals, quality standards, and delivery timelines are consistently met.
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, selecting and empowering key supervisors to strengthen operations and drive accountability.
Manage full P&L performance, budgets, and financial reporting with a focus on throughput, efficiency, and profitability.
Collaborate with ownership on strategic planning, continuous improvement initiatives, and business growth objectives.
Implement and optimize systems and workflows to improve scheduling, communication, and efficiency across departments.
Maintain and strengthen relationships with aerospace and defense customers, ensuring responsiveness, technical credibility, and satisfaction.
Engage directly with engineering and production teams to resolve issues, monitor workflow, and ensure product quality from raw material to final inspection.
Champion ERP utilization (ProShop ERP experience preferred) and data-driven decision-making to enhance operational visibility and performance.
Qualifications:
Extensive experience in precision metal parts manufacturing within a CNC machining environment.
Proven track record of leading production teams in aerospace, defense, or other high-spec industries.
Strong understanding of machining processes, materials, tooling, tolerances, and quality standards (AS9100 familiarity preferred).
Demonstrated success managing P&L and driving operational and financial performance.
Hands-on, collaborative leadership style with strong presence both on the production floor and with customers.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
