Job Title: General Ledger Accountant
Location: Dormont and fully onsite (no hybrid or remote)
Pay: 50-65K
Job Summary:
The General Ledger Accountant is responsible for maintaining the integrity of financial records and ensuring accurate and timely general ledger accounting. This role supports the month-end close process, reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting activities in accordance with GAAP and company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
-Prepare and post journal entries accurately and timely during month-end and year-end close processes.
-Reconcile general ledger accounts and bank statements to ensure accuracy and completeness.
-Maintain and analyze the general ledger to ensure all financial transactions are recorded appropriately.
-Assist in the preparation of internal and external financial statements and reports.
-Investigate and resolve discrepancies or issues in financial records.
-Support audits by providing documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
-Collaborate with other departments to ensure proper financial reporting and compliance.
-Assist in developing and implementing accounting procedures and controls.
-Ensure compliance with internal policies, GAAP, and applicable regulations.
Qualifications:
-Associates degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
-2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in general ledger or financial reporting.
-Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles.
-Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, or similar) and Microsoft Excel.
-Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and analytical skills.
-Ability to meet deadlines and work independently or as part of a team.
