Job Summary

A Manufacturing Associate opportunity is available in Strongsville, OH for candidates who enjoy hands-on production work in a team-oriented manufacturing environment. This contract/temporary role is ideal for someone with 1 to 2 years of manufacturing, general labor, assembly, or production experience who is comfortable working with wood products and production equipment.

The Manufacturing Associate will support daily plant operations by helping with cutting, sanding, assembling, coating, finishing, cleaning, labeling, and material movement. This role offers a steady Monday through Friday daytime schedule, a supportive production team, and the opportunity to build practical manufacturing skills in a structured shop environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate production equipment and assist with cutting, sanding, assembling, coating, and finishing wood products.
- Perform general labor tasks such as cleaning, painting, labeling, organizing work areas, and moving pallets.
- Assist with production setup, changeovers, shutdowns, and other plant support activities.
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas while following plant safety procedures.
- Keep equipment and tools clean and ready for daily production needs.
- Support team members to meet production goals, quality standards, and workflow requirements.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay rate: $16 to $17 per hour.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
- Job type: Contract/temporary.
- Overtime and weekend work may be required.
- PPE is required.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Support production operations involving wood product cutting, sanding, assembly, coating, and finishing.
- Assist with equipment operation, production setup, changeovers, and shutdown procedures.
- Perform general plant labor, housekeeping, labeling, painting, and pallet movement.
- Follow safety standards and help maintain clean equipment and work areas.

- 1 to 2 years of manufacturing, production, assembly, warehouse, or general labor experience preferred.
- Ability to stand for 2 to 3 hours at a time during the workday.
- Ability to climb stairs as needed.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working in a plant or manufacturing environment.
- Dependable attendance, strong work ethic, and willingness to support team production goals.
- Ability to follow instructions, safety procedures, and quality expectations.

Preferred Qualifications

- Previous experience in wood product manufacturing, assembly, finishing, or general production.
- Experience using basic production tools or equipment.
- Familiarity with PPE requirements and manufacturing safety practices.
