A public sector organization is seeking a GIS Analyst to develop, maintain, and analyze geographic information system (GIS) data. This role supports mapping, spatial analysis, and reporting used by multiple departments.
Part-Time temporary position, TUES, WED, THURS 8:300-3:00 18 hours per week 12 month assignment

Key Responsibilities:
• Create, edit, and maintain GIS data layers
• Perform spatial analysis and interpret geographic data
• Integrate data from multiple databases and applications
• Produce maps, reports, and visual data outputs
• Research and interpret geographic data from public and private sources
• Conduct field data collection as needed and prepare information for GIS input
• Review system outputs for accuracy and make updates as needed
• Provide basic guidance or training to staff on GIS tools

Qualifications:
• Experience creating maps and performing spatial analysis using GIS software
• Knowledge of GIS principles, databases, and cartographic techniques
• Strong analytical, research, and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively

Education and Experience:
• Associate degree or related coursework in geography, computer science, engineering, or a similar field preferred
• Approximately 2+ years of GIS or spatial analysis experience
