Title: GCP Data Platform Product Owner
Location: Charlotte, NC
Team: Enterprise Data Platform (EDP) Product Management
Pay $47.68/hr.
We are seeking a GCP Data Platform Product Owner to define, prioritize, and deliver enterprise-scale data capabilities. You’ll drive the strategic roadmap for our GCP Data Platform, enabling modern data ingestion, processing, storage, and analytics at scale, while partnering with stakeholders across multiple lines of business.
Key Responsibilities:
Define and own the product roadmap for the GCP Data Platform, including ingestion, transformation, storage, governance, and consumption patterns.
Partner with business leaders and engineering teams to translate needs into platform capabilities.
Collaborate with architecture, governance, and security teams to ensure compliance with enterprise policies and cloud best practices.
Prioritize and manage the product backlog, ensuring alignment with strategic business and technology objectives.
Enable modern data capabilities leveraging GCP-native services (BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Dataproc, Dataplex, Cloud Storage, Composer, IAM).
Qualifications:
10+ years in data management, data engineering, analytics, or governance
5+ years delivering enterprise data capabilities on cloud or big-data platforms (GCP, Hadoop, Spark)
5+ years as a Product Owner or Product Manager, defining vision, roadmaps, and MVP delivery strategies
Strong understanding of GCP native data services and cloud architecture
Desired Skills:
Experience with cloud-based ETL/ELT, analytics, and consumption pipelines
Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills
Excellent communication across technical and non-technical audiences
Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) or higher
