About the Role
As a Senior Full Stack Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and developing solutions that move our products forward — from the front-end user experience to the cloud infrastructure that supports it.
You will collaborate closely with product, business operations, and client-facing teams to translate complex requirements into elegant, scalable applications. This role offers the opportunity to influence technical decisions, mentor other engineers, and deliver high-quality, high-impact software that supports our mission to simplify benefits administration for employers and their employees.
What You’ll Be Doing
Collaborate with product teams, business operations, and customers to understand and develop product requirements
Design and implement scalable full stack applications and APIs
Develop responsive, user-friendly frontend interfaces using React
Build robust backend services with comprehensive test coverage
Optimize database performance and manage complex data relationships
Architect and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS
Write and maintain automated unit and integration tests
Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical decision-making
Participate in code reviews and uphold engineering standards
What We’re Looking For
8+ years of professional software development experience
Expertise in at least one strongly typed backend language (Java, Scala, Kotlin, C#, or TypeScript)
Frontend development experience with React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript
Advanced SQL skills with relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL, including:
Complex queries with joins and subqueries
Common Table Expressions (CTEs)
Query optimization and performance tuning
Hands-on experience with core AWS services, including:
Compute services (EC2 or ECS)
CloudFront (CDN and content delivery)
Elastic Load Balancer (ELB)
S3 (storage and data management)
IAM (security and access management)
Strong experience with automated unit and integration testing
Experience building distributed systems and microservices architectures
Solid understanding of software engineering best practices
Preferred Qualifications
Experience using Terraform for infrastructure as code
End-to-end testing experience with frameworks such as Cypress
Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
Background working in high-traffic, production environments
