Non-Profit organization is looking to hire a Part Time Full Charge Bookkeeper w/QuickBooks Desktop Pro.
•3 months contract role to cover a medical leave, but could go longer
•24 hours per week, could increase to 30 hours later down the line
•9am - 5:30pm with a 30-mintue lunch or 9:30am to 6pm with a 30-mintue lunch
•Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday
•Company will provide a laptop
•(1) 30-minute interview with the Controller/Tax Accountant and (1) 30-minute interview with Executive Director
Required Skills and Qualifications
•High Software Proficiency:
oQuickBooks Desktop Pro (NOT QuickBooks Online)
oSharePoint (manage project files)
oExcel
oFamiliarity with Google Sheets
•Minimum 3 - 5+ years of experience.
•Strong time management, organizational, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
•High school diploma or GED is required - Associate or Bachelor’s degree in accounting is a plus but NOT required.
Duties
•Payroll Administration: Handling payroll processing biweekly for 30 employees and will be using software Gusto - similar to ADP (company will train on software), handling timesheets and payroll deposits and tax filings.
•Fund Accounting & Grant Tracking: Tracking restricted and unrestricted funds, ensuring expenditures comply with specific grant requirements.
•General Ledger Maintenance: Overseeing the entire ledger, including recording, classifying, and summarizing financial transactions.
•Accounts Payable/Receivable: Managing vendor payments (AP) and invoicing customers (AR), including donor contributions/pledges, collections and tracking outstanding balances.
•Bank & Credit Card Reconciliation: Reconciling all bank accounts, credit cards (download into QuickBooks Desktop Pro) and ensure accuracy.
•Financial Reporting: Preparing monthly financial statements, such as balance sheets and profit-and-loss (P&L) statements.
•Month-End Close & Audit Prep: Reconciling bank accounts, credit cards, and general ledgers; preparing documentation for annual audits and 1099 forms.
