Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Irvine, CA. This hands-on accounting role is ideal for a highly organized professional who enjoys managing full-cycle bookkeeping across a diverse portfolio that may include personal and commercial properties, investments, construction projects, and related assets.
The Full Charge Bookkeeper will take ownership of daily accounting activity, financial reporting, reconciliations, property accounting records, and cash management. This opportunity offers stability, variety, and the ability to work independently while supporting important financial operations in a professional environment that values accuracy, accountability, and strong follow-through.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping, including AP, AR, billing, payments, cash management, and general ledger activity.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, mortgages, loans, check registers, and related financial records.
- Prepare monthly and year-end financial statements, daily cash reports, financial reports, and cash flow summaries.
- Generate rent invoices, maintain property accounting records, and track expenses for properties, utilities, construction projects, and business or personal accounts.
- Maintain fixed asset records, depreciation schedules, construction budgets, project expenses, mortgages, insurance, vehicles, and other asset documentation.
- Prepare 1099 information, organize tax support records, and assist with year-end accounting needs.
Compensation and Benefits
- Compensation: $35 to $38 per hour.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Manage accounting for personal and commercial properties, investments, construction projects, and other assets.
- Oversee AP, AR, reconciliations, billing, cash management, and financial reporting.
- Maintain accurate property, asset, loan, mortgage, insurance, tax, and construction project accounting records.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
- 10+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience required.
- QuickBooks Enterprise Desktop experience required.
- Strong Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word skills required.
- Full-cycle accounting experience required.
- Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, financial statements, and cash flow reporting.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain a high level of accuracy.
- Strong attention to detail, confidentiality, organization, and professional communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Real estate, property management, construction, or small-business accounting experience preferred.
- Experience tracking construction budgets, project expenses, fixed assets, and depreciation schedules preferred.
- Experience preparing 1099 information and supporting tax documentation preferred.
