Required Qualifications and Skills - Manage full charge bookkeeping functions within a construction accounting environment. - Handle AIA billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, job costing, payroll support, and month-end close activity. - Partner with project managers and accounting leadership to monitor project financial performance and cost accuracy. - Maintain compliance with accounting policies, contract requirements, audit documentation, and internal controls. - 3-5 years of relevant bookkeeping or accounting experience preferred. - Full charge bookkeeping experience within the construction industry is required. - Subcontractor accounting experience is required. - QuickBooks Desktop accounting experience is required. - Strong understanding of construction billing, job costing, project expenses, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. - Ability to code and allocate costs accurately to the appropriate jobs and projects. - Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines. - Ability to communicate effectively with accounting, project management, operations, vendors, and subcontractors. - Knowledge of GAAP, contract compliance, documentation standards, and financial reporting best practices. Preferred Qualifications - Experience with Procure, Textura, billing releases, or ADP payroll is a plus. - Labor compliance experience is a plus. - Union payroll experience is a plus but not required. - Experience working in a union environment is preferred but not mandatory. - Bilingual Spanish skills are a plus.
