We are seeking an experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper for a direct hire opportunity in Poway, CA, supporting accounting operations within the residential and commercial construction industry. This is a strong operational accounting role for a hands-on bookkeeping professional who enjoys managing full-cycle accounting, payroll, accounts payable, reconciliations, and month-end close in a project-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping activities through month-end close, including accurate general ledger maintenance.
- Oversee accounts payable processes, including construction-related invoices, vendor payments, and lien release documentation.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and general ledger accounts to ensure accurate financial records.
- Process payroll using ADP and maintain complete and accurate payroll records.
- Support job costing, project accounting, and construction-related financial tracking.
- Prepare financial reports and provide accounting support to leadership as needed.
Compensation and Benefits
- Direct hire opportunity.
- Starting salary of $85,000 per year.
- Performance review at 90 days with potential for increase.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Required Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years of relevant bookkeeping or accounting experience.
- Full charge bookkeeping experience within the construction industry.
- Strong proficiency with QuickBooks Desktop.
- Hands-on experience processing payroll through ADP.
- Solid understanding of accounts payable, bank and credit card reconciliations, general ledger activity, and month-end close.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently while supporting leadership and project-driven accounting needs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Labor compliance experience.
- Union payroll experience.
- Experience supporting residential, commercial, or office construction accounting environments.
