Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper for a direct hire opportunity with a manufacturing company in Los Angeles, CA 90065. The Full Charge Bookkeeper will play a key role in the financial operations of the business by managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, deposits, coding, and reporting. The right candidate will bring hands-on QuickBooks Desktop experience, strong Microsoft Outlook skills, and a solid understanding of accounting and bookkeeping principles in a business environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Maintain accurate financial records using ledgers, journals, spreadsheets, databases, and accounting software.
- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, debit and credit activity, deposits, vouchers, checks, and cash processing.
- Verify figures, postings, financial documents, and account balances for accuracy and completeness.
- Reconcile accounts, research discrepancies, and report issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Compile financial activity reports including cash flow, profit and loss, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Code documents according to company procedures and support compliance with internal, state, and federal financial regulations.

Compensation and Benefits

- Salary: $70,000 to $85,000 per year.
- Employment type: Direct hire.
- Location: Los Angeles, CA 90065.
- Health, dental, and vision insurance with employer paying 80 percent and employee paying 20 percent.
- 401k.
- Paid vacation: 2 weeks for 1 to 5 years of service and 3 weeks for 5 or more years of service.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Maintain full charge bookkeeping responsibilities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and financial records.
- Use QuickBooks Desktop to record, store, analyze, and report financial information.
- Prepare financial reports related to cash flow, profit and loss, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Support accurate documentation, coding, deposits, account balancing, and compliance-related bookkeeping processes.

- 3 to 5 years of bookkeeping, accounting, or general ledger experience.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop is required.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook is required.
- Solid understanding of accounting and bookkeeping principles.
- Strong math, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to verify financial data, identify discrepancies, and maintain highly accurate records.
- Experience using spreadsheets, databases, accounting tools, and 10-key calculators.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, confidentiality, and follow-through.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with legal, financial, and compliance regulations.
- Experience preparing cash flow, profit and loss, accounts payable, and accounts receivable reports.
- Ability to work independently while communicating effectively with leadership and internal teams.
