AppleOne is pleased to partner with a company in Irvine seeking a highly organized and detail-driven Full-Charge Bookkeeper for a temp-to-hire opportunity. This role is ideal for an experienced accounting professional who can independently manage full-cycle bookkeeping, financial reporting, reconciliations, cash management, and accounting support across personal assets, corporate properties, investments, construction projects, vehicles, yachts, and related business interests.
The Full-Charge Bookkeeper will play a trusted role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting tax and year-end reporting, and ensuring timely processing of payables, receivables, banking, loans, mortgages, and project accounting. This opportunity offers variety, autonomy, and the ability to take ownership of complex bookkeeping functions in a professional environment where accuracy, discretion, and reliability are highly valued.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping and accounting functions for personal properties, corporate properties, investments, construction projects, and other assets.
- Handle Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, tenant rent invoicing, check processing, daily cash reporting, and bank transfers.
- Prepare monthly and year-end financial statements, cash flow reports, journal entries, and monthly financial packages.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, mortgages, loans, escrow statements, check registers, and intercompany transactions in QuickBooks.
- Maintain fixed asset records, depreciation schedules, construction project spreadsheets, insurance records, loan files, and supporting documentation.
- Provide tax and year-end support, including 1099 preparation, reconciliations, and financial documentation for accountants.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Manage full-charge bookkeeping and accounting operations independently across multiple entities, properties, projects, and asset categories.
- Prepare financial statements, journal entries, cash flow reports, reconciliations, and month-end/year-end close support.
- Oversee AP, AR, rent invoicing, credit card reconciliation, banking, mortgages, loans, and construction-related accounting.
- Maintain accurate records for fixed assets, depreciation, insurance, taxes, 1099s, refinancing, and supporting financial documentation.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
- 10 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience required, preferably in a small business, real estate, or property management environment.
- Strong experience with QuickBooks Enterprise required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word required.
- Solid knowledge of full-cycle bookkeeping, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, financial reporting, and account reconciliations.
- Experience with bank reconciliations, credit card reconciliations, fixed assets, depreciation, cash management, and mortgage or loan accounting.
- Ability to support construction or project accounting, including coding invoices, tracking funds, and maintaining project spreadsheets.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, deadline management, and ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities.
- Professional communication skills and ability to handle confidential financial information with discretion.
- Proactive, dependable, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in real estate, property management, family office, construction accounting, or small business accounting environments.
- Experience supporting tax preparation, 1099 processing, loan refinancing documentation, and year-end accounting.
- Familiarity with accounting for personal assets, commercial properties, vehicles, yachts, watercraft, insurance records, and capital projects.
