Job Title: Front Desk Receptionist
Location: Conway, SC (on-site)
Pay Rate: $15.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
Requirements
Ability to pass a background check, including DSS screening
Ability to pass a 10-panel drug screen
TB test required (completed at candidate’s expense)
Strong customer service and communication skills
High attention to detail and ability to manage confidential information
Experience working in a healthcare or clinical environment
We are a recruiting and staffing agency partnering with a government department to hire a Front Desk Receptionist for a long-term contract opportunity. This role offers the potential to apply for a permanent position in the future. Position Overview
This role serves as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, requiring strong customer service skills and the ability to manage multiple administrative tasks in a fast-paced clinical setting. The ideal candidate is organized, professional, and comfortable handling sensitive information.
Key Responsibilities
Greet all patients and visitors promptly and provide a welcoming, professional experience
Answer and direct phone calls with a high level of customer service
Schedule and manage appointments to maximize efficiency for clinical staff
Backfill canceled appointments to maintain full schedules
Verify and update patient insurance information in the system
Assist with financial reviews by ensuring required documentation is collected for self-pay reductions
Process medical records requests in compliance with policies
Import and maintain accurate patient records and documentation
Ensure records are complete and updated for quality assurance purposes
Follow all corporate compliance policies and procedures
Support additional administrative duties as needed
Important Notes
While in a contract capacity, this role will not handle payments or bank deposits
Occasional extended hours may occur on Wednesdays when the office is open later, but this is not typically required for administrative staff
