We are seeking a reliable Part-Time Forklift Operator for a contract opportunity in Wyandotte, MI. This role is ideal for an experienced Hi-Lo or forklift operator who enjoys hands-on production support, material movement, and working in a safety-focused manufacturing environment.
The Forklift Operator will help keep weekend operations running smoothly by moving materials, inspecting parts, supporting basic assembly and finishing tasks, and maintaining clean, organized work areas. Key Responsibilities
- Operate Hi-Lo/forklift equipment to move materials, parts, and supplies safely throughout the work area.
- Inspect parts for quality, accuracy, and readiness for production or finishing.
- Assist with basic assembly, finishing, and general production support tasks as needed.
- Maintain equipment, work areas, and housekeeping standards to support safe daily operations.
- Follow all safety procedures, work instructions, and company operating guidelines.
- Communicate with team members and supervisors to support efficient workflow and material handling.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay: $20 per hour.
- Schedule: Saturday and Sunday, 6 AM to 6 PM.
- Job Type: Contract/Temporary.
- Contract duration: Through February 2027, with possible extension.
- Location: Wyandotte, MI.
- Operate Hi-Lo/forklift equipment to support material handling and production flow.
- Move, stage, and organize materials safely and accurately.
- Inspect parts and assist with basic assembly or finishing work.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Minimum 1 year of forklift or Hi-Lo operating experience required.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. as needed.
- Ability to pass a required online assessment.
- Ability to complete a required medical exam and drug screening.
- Strong attention to safety, quality, and accuracy.
- Dependable attendance and availability for the Saturday and Sunday, 6 AM to 6 PM schedule.
- Ability to work effectively in a manufacturing, production, or operations environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in manufacturing, production, warehouse, or equipment operations.
- Experience supporting assembly, finishing, inspection, or material staging tasks.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and time management skills.
