Job Title: Forklift Operator / Packaging Support
Location: Appleton, WI 54911
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Job Summary
The Forklift Operator / Packaging Support associate will provide short-term operational support by assisting with filling, labeling, and packaging drums and totes, as well as performing material handling duties. This role supports the packaging operation so experienced plant personnel can remain focused on production activities. This is not a temp-to-hire position.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Operate forklift to move materials within the facility
Load, move, and stage pallets of drums, totes, and IBC containers
Operate simple packaging line equipment (push-button operations)
Fill, label, and package drums and totes with liquid product
Apply labels to drums, totes, and pallets
Stack and organize materials in assigned storage locations
Perform daily forklift inspections and basic equipment checks
Keep work area clean, organized, and free of hazards
Inspect products for quality and proper labeling
Follow instructions provided by Process Technicians and supervisors
Adhere to all safety policies and procedures
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required
Forklift experience required
Packaging line or manufacturing experience preferred
Good math, reading, and basic computer skills
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
Ability to lift, carry, and move materials as required
Ability to operate forklift throughout shift
Comfortable working around liquid and powdered materials
Additional Information
Background and drug screening required
OSHA forklift certification preferred (or ability to obtain)
