We are seeking a dependable Forklift Operator for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Grand Prairie, TX. This role is ideal for a safety-focused candidate with forklift experience, basic manufacturing knowledge, and the ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
As a Forklift Operator, you will help keep daily operations running smoothly by operating industrial equipment, moving materials, preparing shipments, and following established safety and quality procedures. Key Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts, industrial equipment, and manufacturing equipment according to safety and quality standards.
- Palletize finished products and prepare materials for shipment.
- Follow computer-based work instructions, standard operating procedures, and production guidelines.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area throughout the shift.
- Identify and report safety concerns, quality issues, equipment problems, or process inconsistencies.
- Support production flow by standing, walking, lifting, and handling materials as needed.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay: $17 per hour.
- Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 5:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
- Job Type: Temp-to-hire.
- Location: Grand Prairie, TX 75051.
- Operate forklifts and industrial equipment in a manufacturing or production setting.
- Palletize products and prepare shipments accurately and efficiently.
- Follow computer-based work instructions, SOPs, and safety procedures.
- Maintain production quality, cleanliness, and safe work practices.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Forklift experience required.
- 1 to 2 years of relevant experience preferred.
- Basic computer skills required.
- Ability to read English and follow written work instructions.
- Ability to use a tape measure accurately.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and stand or walk for most of the shift.
- Strong attention to safety, quality, reliability, and teamwork.
Preferred Qualifications
- Manufacturing experience preferred.
- Experience working in a production, warehouse, shipping, or material handling environment preferred.
- Familiarity with SOPs, quality procedures, and structured work instructions preferred.
