Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Forklift Operator for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Houston, TX. This role is ideal for a safety-focused warehouse professional with 3 to 5 years of forklift operation experience and a strong understanding of material handling, inventory movement, and warehouse organization.

The Forklift Operator will support daily warehouse operations by safely moving products, loading and unloading trucks, assisting with inventory accuracy, and helping maintain an efficient work environment. This opportunity offers a steady Monday through Friday schedule, a team-oriented warehouse setting, and the potential to transition into a long-term role for dependable candidates who perform well.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate forklifts safely to move pallets, materials, and inventory throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks while ensuring products are handled securely and placed in designated areas.
- Perform routine forklift inspections and report equipment issues or safety concerns to management.
- Assist with inventory control, daily inventory audits, and accurate product tracking.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
- Collaborate with warehouse team members and other departments to support operational goals.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay rate: $16 to $17 per hour.
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 6 AM to 6 PM.
- Job type: 1-month temp-to-hire opportunity.
- Location: Houston, TX.



Required Qualifications and Skills

- Operate forklifts to transport, load, unload, and stage warehouse materials.
- Support inventory accuracy through audits, product movement, and organized warehouse practices.
- Maintain safety standards through equipment inspections and hazard reporting.

- 3 to 5 years of forklift operation experience in a warehouse, logistics, distribution, or transportation environment.
- Ability to safely operate forklifts and handle palletized materials in a busy warehouse setting.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and material handling best practices.
- Ability to assist with inventory control, cycle counts, and product organization.
- Dependable attendance and ability to work the full assigned shift.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with warehouse staff and supervisors.
- Attention to detail, safety awareness, and commitment to maintaining a clean work area.

Preferred Qualifications

- Current forklift certification or prior site authorization to operate powered industrial equipment.
- Experience loading and unloading trucks in a warehouse or distribution environment.
- Familiarity with inventory audits, warehouse organization, and shipping or receiving processes.
