We are seeking a Forklift Operator for a contract warehouse opportunity in Idaho Falls, ID. This role is ideal for a dependable warehouse professional with forklift experience who enjoys hands-on work, organized operations, and contributing to a safe, productive team environment.
The Forklift Operator will support daily warehouse handling activities, including moving materials, picking and packing orders, labeling shipments, assisting with inventory, and maintaining a clean, efficient workspace. Key Responsibilities
- Operate a forklift safely to move, stack, load, and organize products and materials.
- Receive, pick, pack, label, and ship warehouse materials accurately and efficiently.
- Perform inventory counts, audits, and basic stock verification activities.
- Process returns, warehouse transfers, and material movement requests.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused warehouse environment.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay: $20 per hour.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
- Contract duration: Through March 2027, with possible extension.
- Note: Six days per week will be required for the first 2 months.
- Operate forklifts to move and stack warehouse materials.
- Support receiving, picking, packing, labeling, and shipping tasks.
- Assist with inventory counts, audits, returns, and warehouse transfers.
- Maintain safe, accurate, and organized warehouse operations.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Forklift experience required, with 6 months of forklift experience considered.
- Ability to lift up to 56 lbs.
- Basic computer skills required.
- Must be able to complete required medical screening.
- Strong attention to detail, dependability, and commitment to workplace safety.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1 year of warehouse and forklift experience preferred.
- Experience with shipping, receiving, inventory counts, and warehouse transfers preferred.
- Previous experience working in a structured warehouse, manufacturing, production, or operations environment preferred.
