Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable Forklift Operator for a 6-month contract opportunity in Jackson, MI, with possible extension. This role supports chemical manufacturing operations in a structured production environment where safety, teamwork, and accuracy are essential.
The Forklift Operator will assist with production equipment operation, material handling, finished product loading, and production documentation. This is a strong opportunity for candidates with manufacturing or production experience who are looking to build skills in a stable, team-oriented operation with supportive leadership, clear expectations, and a focus on workplace safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and production equipment safely in a chemical manufacturing environment.
- Load finished products and move materials according to production and shipping requirements.
- Complete required production documentation accurately and on time.
- Follow safety procedures, PPE requirements, and workplace standards at all times.
- Support production workflow by maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient work area.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily production goals.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay: $19.00 per hour.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM.
- Assignment: 6-month contract with possible extension.
- Location: Jackson, MI.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Operate forklifts and production equipment to support daily manufacturing operations.
- Load finished products and move materials safely and efficiently.
- Complete production documentation and follow established operating procedures.
- Maintain a safe work environment while meeting production expectations.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 1 or more years of manufacturing or production experience required.
- Basic computer skills required.
- Ability to lift up to 55 lbs. as needed.
- Ability to wear required PPE in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong teamwork, dependability, and attention to safety.
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Chemical manufacturing experience preferred.
- SAP knowledge is a plus.
