AppleOne is partnering with a leading food manufacturer to hire a Food Technologist to support new product development, formulation, and innovation. This position is perfect for recent Food Science graduates, early-career Food Technologists, or candidates with hands-on experience in food production, sensory testing, or culinary science who want to build a long-term career in R&D and Product Development.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with new product development including recipe creation, ingredient testing, and formulation adjustments.
Support sensory evaluation panels, prepare product samples, and record results for internal teams and customers.
Help gather and maintain ingredient specifications and product documentation.
Prepare samples for sales presentations, customer demos, and internal reviews.
Contribute to cost targets, portion sizes, and product performance requirements under guidance from senior R&D staff.
Maintain accurate records in the R&D project database and assist with project tracking.
Support production trials and learn scale-up processes within a frozen food manufacturing environment.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, QA, Sales, and Operations.
Assist lab staff with daily testing, sample prep, and bench work.


Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Culinary Science, Nutrition, or related field (or equivalent hands-on industry experience).
Foundational understanding of food science, ingredients, nutrition, and food safety.
Strong interest in product development, R&D, innovation, and food manufacturing.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills.
Computer-literate with proficiency in standard software (Excel, Word, etc.).
Experience with ESHA or TraceGains is a plus but not required.
Internship or prior experience in food production, QA, culinary, or R&D labs is a bonus.
