A leading food & beverage manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Food Scientist / Developer with entry-level background in food science, product formulation, and CPG innovation. This role will directly drive the development of new and improved food products for national retail and brand partners.

Key Responsibilities

Perform the conceptualization, formulation, and development of innovative food products that align with market trends and customer requirements.
Blend food science and culinary principles to create, test, and refine product formulations.
Conduct ingredient research, gather data for specifications, and evaluate nutritional and functional properties.
Optimize recipes to meet requirements for taste, nutrition, cost targets, and portion sizes.
Plan and manage sensory evaluation panels (internal & external).
Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, QA, and Production to move products through the stage-gate process.
Maintain R&D project data, documentation, and progress reports.


Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Food Science or closely related field (Food Technology, Food Chemistry, Nutrition Science).
1-2 years of experience in food product development, formulation, and commercialization.
Knowledge of food science, ingredients, functionality, and nutrition principles.
Experience with R&D tools such as TraceGains, ESHA, or similar formulation/nutrition software.
