First Article Inspection Specialist

Position Overview:
The First Article Inspection Specialist I creates AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) and other dimensional inspection reports after interpreting customer drawings, specifications, and other customer requirements. You will communicate with various other departments vital to the manufacturing of customer designed precision products. You will work with minimal day to day supervision upon completion of training.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Navigates internal company software and database systems to gather information
• Accurately completes AS9102 First Article Inspection Report (FAIR) and other dimensional inspection reports
• Interprets drawings, specifications, customer requirements
• Works effectively with and communicates with various departments, including: Planning, Quality Planning, QC Inspection and Delegated Source Inspection

• Thorough attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently majority of the workday
• Ability to work well as a team or with other departments when needed
• Moderate general computer skills using MS Office products: Word, Excel, PDF

Required Education and Experience:
• High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED)

Preferred Education and Experience:
• Previous FAI Specialist Experience
• Print reading • GD&T terminology and symbols • Microsoft Office – Excel, Word, Power Point
