Job Summary

We are seeking a Fire Sprinkler System Designer for a direct hire opportunity in the Salt Lake City area, based onsite in West Valley City, UT. This role is ideal for a designer with at least 1 year of fire sprinkler system design experience who is ready to grow with a supportive, collaborative team in the engineering services industry.

As a Fire Sprinkler System Designer, you will create accurate, code-conscious fire protection system layouts for commercial, residential, and industrial projects. Key Responsibilities

- Design fire sprinkler systems for commercial, residential, and industrial building projects.
- Create layouts for wet, dry, pre-action, and other fire sprinkler system types.
- Review and interpret construction drawings, architectural plans, and project specifications.
- Produce accurate design documents using AutoCAD and HydraCAD.
- Collaborate with project teams, contractors, and internal stakeholders to support high-quality project delivery.
- Help ensure designs align with applicable standards, project requirements, and field installation needs.

Compensation and Benefits

- Salary range: $70,000 to $100,000 per year, based on experience.
- 100% onsite position in West Valley City, UT.

- Develop sprinkler layouts using AutoCAD and HydraCAD.

- Coordinate with team members to support efficient, compliant project completion.

- 1+ years of fire sprinkler system design experience.
- NICET certification required.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and HydraCAD.
- Strong working knowledge of construction plans and design documentation.
- Understanding of wet, dry, pre-action, and related sprinkler system types.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and problem-solving ability.
- Collaborative communication style and ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience designing fire sprinkler systems across a mix of commercial, residential, and industrial projects.
- Familiarity with fire protection codes, standards, and installation practices.
- Ability to manage multiple design priorities in a deadline-driven project environment.
