Job Summary

A direct hire opportunity is available for a Fire Sprinkler Designer in Los Angeles, CA. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented fire protection design professional with experience creating sprinkler system layouts for industrial warehouses, commercial buildings, and mixed-use residential projects.

The Fire Sprinkler Designer will work closely with a collaborative design team, supporting projects from layout through hydraulic calculations, coordination, and fabrication listing. Key Responsibilities

- Design fire sprinkler system layouts for industrial, commercial, and mixed-use residential projects.
- Prepare hydraulic calculations and support code-compliant fire protection system designs.
- Perform field surveys to verify existing conditions and support accurate design documentation.
- Create fabrication listings and coordinate design details for installation readiness.
- Coordinate with other trades to resolve design conflicts and support project schedules.
- Assist with BIM modeling and design coordination as needed.

Compensation and Benefits

- Salary range: $70,000 to $100,000 per year.
- Job type: Direct hire.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Design fire sprinkler systems for industrial warehouse, commercial, and mixed-use residential projects.
- Perform sprinkler system layout, hydraulic calculations, and fabrication listing.
- Conduct field surveying and coordinate design information between trades.
- Support BIM modeling and project coordination activities.

- 3 to 5 years of fire sprinkler design or related fire protection design experience.
- Experience using SprinkCAD design software.
- Working knowledge of fire sprinkler system design, layout practices, and hydraulic calculations.
- Ability to prepare accurate fabrication listings and design documentation.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage details efficiently.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with design teams, field personnel, and project stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

- Knowledge of HASS hydraulic calculation software.
- Experience with Revit.
- BIM modeling experience.
- Experience supporting coordination between multiple building trades.
