Job Summary

We are seeking a Fire Sprinkler Designer for a direct hire opportunity in the West Valley City, UT area. This role is ideal for a motivated fire protection design professional who wants to grow in a stable, team-oriented construction environment while contributing to safe, code-compliant fire sprinkler systems for commercial, residential, and industrial facilities.

The Fire Sprinkler Designer will work closely with project teams to interpret construction plans, create accurate sprinkler system layouts, and support high-quality project delivery. Key Responsibilities

- Design fire sprinkler systems for commercial, residential, and industrial construction projects.
- Prepare sprinkler layouts and design documentation using AutoCAD and HydraCAD.
- Review and interpret architectural, structural, and construction plans to develop accurate system designs.
- Work with wet, dry, pre-action, and other fire sprinkler system types.
- Collaborate with project managers, field teams, and other design professionals to support timely and accurate project completion.
- Help ensure designs align with applicable codes, project specifications, and quality standards.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Design fire sprinkler systems for commercial, residential, and industrial facilities.
- Create accurate sprinkler layouts and design plans using AutoCAD and HydraCAD.
- Review construction drawings and coordinate design details with project teams.
- Support multiple fire protection system types, including wet, dry, and pre-action systems.

- Fire sprinkler system design experience, from entry-level exposure to experienced designer level.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and HydraCAD.
- Strong ability to read, interpret, and work from construction plans.
- Working knowledge of fire sprinkler design concepts, system layouts, and construction coordination.
- Detail-oriented approach with the ability to produce accurate, organized design work.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate in a team-focused environment.

Preferred Qualifications

- NICET certification is preferred.
- Experience designing fire sprinkler systems for industrial facilities or infrastructure-related construction projects.
- Familiarity with multiple sprinkler system types, including wet, dry, pre-action, and related fire protection systems.
- Strong interest in long-term career growth within fire protection design.
