This Senior Service Technician Position Features:
• Pay Rate:$30/hour - $35/hour (DOE)
• Schedule: Monday–Friday (40 hours/week; overtime as needed)
• Location: Nashville, TN (Regional travel required)
• Work Type: Field-based / Onsite
• Vehicle: Company vehicle provided
Key Responsibilities
• Perform advanced troubleshooting, service, and repair of fire alarm systems
• Diagnose and resolve system issues including ground faults, shorts, open circuits, and device failures.
• Service and support special hazard fire suppression systems (clean agent, CO2, foam, dry chemical).
• Respond to service calls involving system malfunctions, storm damage, or impaired systems.
• Lead complex service calls and provide technical guidance to junior technicians.
• Conduct system testing and verification to ensure proper operation and code compliance.
• Identify repair needs and provide detailed feedback to the Service Coordinator for quoting (labor, materials, scope).
• Communicate professionally with customers during service visits.
• Travel regionally as needed (approximately one overnight per month).
• Maintain accurate service documentation and reports.
• Represent the company with professionalism and technical expertise at all times.
• Perform additional service-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• 4–6+ years of experience in fire alarm and/or life safety system service
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills (not inspection-only experience)
• Experience with fire alarm systems such as Siemens, EST, Notifier, Simplex, Gamewell, Silent Knight, or similar
• Exposure to special hazard fire suppression systems preferred (training available for strong candidates)
• Ability to work independently in the field and take ownership of service issues
• Experience mentoring or supporting junior technicians preferred
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Willingness to travel and work overtime as needed
