Financial IT Business Analyst – Healthcare & Financial Technology Industry

Location: Guaynabo,Puerto Rico
Employment Type: Full-time
Compensation: up to $85,000 annually + annual performance bonus

Position Summary
The Financial IT Business Analyst plays a key role in analyzing financial data and optimizing IT systems to support decision-making, improve operational performance, and strengthen financial reporting. This position requires a strong background in both finance and technology, with expertise in financial modeling, ERP implementation, and digital transformation. The role is highly collaborative, working with cross-functional teams to drive efficiency and ensure the accuracy and security of financial systems.

Key Responsibilities
• Conduct detailed financial analysis, including rebate transactions, monthly journal entries, and adjustments.
• Develop financial models to support business strategies and decision-making.
• Prepare and present financial reports to senior management.
• Collaborate with IT, finance, and operations teams to streamline processes and improve financial performance.
• Implement, optimize, and manage financial ERP systems.
• Manage cloud infrastructure for financial applications and ensure data security.
• Apply AI and machine learning tools to financial processes for improved efficiency.
• Monitor financial systems performance and lead digital transformation initiatives.
• Develop financial solutions using programming languages and reporting tools.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science with a minor in Accounting, or a related field.
• Proven experience in financial IT development and system implementation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in database management (MS SQL, Oracle) and multi-environment implementation (dev, QA, prod).
• Proficiency in financial programming languages and ERP systems.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure and digital transformation technologies.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Professional Competencies
• Proficiency in financial analysis and reporting.
• Advanced skills with SQL, VBA, Power BI, MS Access, Oracle EPM/WFP, and Pivot Tables.
• Knowledge of financial concepts and ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Experience with Oracle, GP, or similar financial systems.
• Highly detail-oriented, with a focus on accuracy, compliance, and data integrity.
• Ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
