A growing company is looking for a hands-on Controller to take ownership of the accounting function and partner directly with executive leadership to drive financial performance, process improvement, and scalable growth.

This is a high-impact role where you will lead the accounting team, strengthen financial operations, and help guide strategic decisions in a fast-paced, multi-channel business environment.

Responsibilities:
- Lead all day-to-day accounting operations (GL, AP/AR, payroll, cash management)
- Own the month-end and year-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Prepare and oversee financial statements, forecasts, and budgets
- Manage cash flow reporting and ensure liquidity needs are met
- Partner with leadership to improve reporting, controls, and operational efficiency
- Oversee external audits and act as the main point of contact
- Evaluate and implement process improvements and accounting best practices
- Supervise and mentor a small accounting team
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure financial data integrity
- Act as a key contributor in scaling both direct-to-consumer and wholesale operations

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- 10+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Experience in retail, consumer goods, or distribution environments
- Experience managing teams and developing talent
- Advanced Excel skills
- CPA or Master’s degree is a plus
- Strong background in GAAP accounting and financial reporting
- Experience leading accounting operations in a fast-paced, growing business
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution
- Proven experience improving processes, systems, and controls
- Strong systems knowledge (ERP experience required; SAP preferred)
- Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills
