Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Financial Analyst for a direct hire hybrid opportunity near the La Palma area. This role is ideal for an early-career finance or accounting professional who enjoys financial analysis, reporting, vendor cost review, accounts payable oversight, and month-end accounting support.

The Financial Analyst will play an important role in helping finance, accounting, procurement, and IT teams improve cost control, reporting accuracy, and vendor invoice compliance. Key Responsibilities

- Perform financial modeling, forecasting, variance analysis, and cost analysis to support business decision-making.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including KPI tracking and spending trend analysis.
- Review vendor invoices, validate pricing against purchase orders and agreements, and resolve billing or charge discrepancies.
- Partner with finance, accounting, procurement, and IT teams to improve vendor cost controls and accounts payable accuracy.
- Prepare journal entries related to accruals, prepaids, and AP reconciliations while supporting month-end and year-end close.
- Provide documentation and explanations for audits while ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies.

Compensation and Benefits

- Salary range: $58,000 to $66,000 per year.
- Job type: Direct hire.
- Work arrangement: Hybrid,  onsite during training then move to hybrid.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Collaborate cross-functionally to improve cost controls, reporting accuracy, and process efficiency.

- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- 1 or more years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, or accounts payable.
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and complex financial modeling.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, cost analysis, vendor invoicing, and AP processes.
- Knowledge of GAAP, accounting principles, reconciliations, and month-end close procedures.
- Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work effectively with finance, accounting, procurement, and IT teams.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience validating vendor pricing against purchase orders, contracts, or service agreements.
- Exposure to AP sub-ledger reconciliations and general ledger accounting.
- Experience identifying process improvements within finance, accounting, or accounts payable functions.
