Job Summary

We are seeking a Financial Analyst Associate for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Temecula, CA. This role supports financial analysis, reporting, data management, and compliance activities related to the administration of special districts within the government and public sector.

Key Responsibilities

- Support Project Managers with financial analysis, data management, reporting, and administrative functions for special districts.
- Analyze, organize, and manipulate large financial and operational data sets to identify trends, discrepancies, potential risks, and recommendations.
- Prepare and review calculations related to taxes, assessments, fees, charges, funds, and other special district financial activity.
- Review legal, financial, legislative, and regulatory documents related to government finance, taxation procedures, and bond-related activities.
- Serve as a client contact by providing accurate financial and operational data, responding to requests, and supporting compliance needs.
- Perform quality-control reviews on deliverables to ensure accuracy, completeness, and professional presentation before client submission.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay rate: $27 to $29 per hour.
- Job type: Temp-to-hire.



Required Qualifications and Skills

- Support financial administration and reporting for special districts.
- Analyze complex financial, operational, and regulatory data.
- Prepare calculations and reports related to assessments, taxes, fees, funds, and charges.
- Coordinate with Project Managers, clients, and internal teams to meet deadlines and compliance requirements.

- 3 to 5 years of related experience in financial analysis, accounting, public administration, or a similar analytical finance role.
- Strong mathematical, financial analysis, research, and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required.
- Experience with data analysis and database tools such as SQL, Microsoft Access, or similar platforms.
- Strong Microsoft Word and general computer skills.
- Ability to interpret financial documents, legal documents, regulatory requirements, and web-based information sources.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including reporting and presentation abilities.
- Strong organization, time management, information management, and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced professional environment.
- Professional, ethical, collaborative, and client-service-focused work style.

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or another quantitative field.
- Experience with special financing districts, special districts, assessments, bond-related activities, or public-sector financial administration.
- Experience reviewing maps or performing basic spatial analysis.
- Prior experience supporting government, municipal finance, taxation, or regulatory compliance processes.
