Job Summary
A growing organization in Chicago, IL is seeking a Financial Analyst for a temp-to-hire opportunity. The Financial Analyst will support budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, financial reporting, and research projects that contribute to stronger business planning and operational visibility. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare financial reports, dashboards, and analysis to support business planning and decision-making.
- Analyze revenue, expenses, margins, trends, and variances against budget, forecast, and prior periods.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling activities.
- Partner with accounting, operations, and leadership teams to gather data and explain financial results.
- Research financial performance drivers and provide actionable insights to improve business outcomes.
- Support ad hoc reporting, process improvement initiatives, and special finance projects.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range: $90,000 to $130,000 per year.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Prepare financial analysis, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting support.
- Build and maintain financial models, reports, and variance analyses.
- Partner with business teams to interpret financial data and present meaningful insights.
- Support research, reporting, and ad hoc finance projects.
- 3 to 5 years of financial analysis, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, or related finance experience.
- Strong knowledge of financial statements, variance analysis, and business performance metrics.
- Advanced Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, data analysis, and financial modeling.
- Experience working with financial systems, ERP platforms, reporting tools, or business intelligence tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and research skills.
- Ability to communicate financial information clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
- High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
- Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting in a corporate finance environment.
- Familiarity with ERP systems, financial planning tools, or data visualization platforms.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven finance or accounting team.
