Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Financial Analyst for a direct hire opportunity in Cypress, CA. Key Responsibilities

- Perform financial modeling, forecasting, variance analysis, and reporting to support business decisions.
- Analyze cost structures, spending trends, vendor charges, and financial performance to identify risks and savings opportunities.
- Review vendor invoices, validate pricing against purchase orders and agreements, and resolve billing or pricing discrepancies.
- Support accounts payable accuracy by improving invoice review processes, controls, and vendor cost tracking.
- Prepare journal entries, support accruals and prepaids, and assist with month-end and year-end close activities.
- Reconcile AP sub-ledger activity to the general ledger and provide documentation for audits and internal reporting.

Additional Skills

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- 1 or more years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, accounts payable, or a closely related finance function.
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and complex financial modeling.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, cost analysis, vendor invoicing, and AP processes.
- Working knowledge of GAAP, accounting principles, reconciliations, and month-end close procedures.
- High attention to detail with strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with finance, accounting, procurement, and IT teams.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain financial findings clearly and professionally.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience reviewing vendor pricing, purchase orders, contracts, or invoice accuracy in a transportation, logistics, warehousing, materials storage, or related operational environment.
- Prior exposure to process improvement initiatives within accounts payable, cost control, or financial reporting.
- Experience supporting audits through documentation, reconciliations, and variance explanations.
