Position Summary

We are seeking an Analyst to support financial consulting projects for cities and local government agencies. This role focuses on data analysis, financial modeling, and report preparation for studies such as cost allocation plans, user fee analyses, and rate studies.

The Analyst will work closely with senior consultants to collect, validate, and analyze financial data while developing clear, accurate client deliverables and supporting presentations.

Key Responsibilities
Support senior consultants on cost allocation plans, user fee studies, and other financial consulting projects for local government clients
Collect, review, validate, and analyze financial and operational data from multiple sources
Build, update, and maintain Excel-based financial models and spreadsheets
Perform quantitative analysis and interpret results for reporting purposes
Prepare client-ready deliverables including reports, tables, exhibits, charts, and PowerPoint presentations
Translate data analysis into clear written summaries and findings
Manage multiple assignments simultaneously while meeting strict project deadlines
Communicate professionally with internal teams and support client-facing project needs as required
Maintain high standards of accuracy, quality, and self-review across all deliverables
Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field
2+ years of analytical or financial experience (government or consulting experience is a plus)
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex spreadsheets and financial modeling
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Strong analytical, critical thinking, and quantitative skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail and ability to self-review work for accuracy
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with senior staff
