Seeking a detail-oriented Finance analyst to support daily accounting and billing operations. This position will assist with rent deposit processing, portability payments, and utility allowance (UA) tenant billing tasks. The role provides important operational support to ensure accurate financial records, timely reconciliations, and compliance with financial reporting and audit standards.

This role will help maintain efficient financial operations while supporting ongoing reconciliation, reporting, and internal control processes.

Key Responsibilities
-Rent Deposit Processing
-Record daily rent payments received from properties or front office.
-Prepare and maintain deposit logs.
-Verify totals against reports and receipts.
-Assist with preparation of bank deposit documentation.
-Scan and file deposit supporting documents.
-Maintain organized records for audit purposes.
-Assist with tracking rent collections by program or property.
-Utility Allowance (UA) / Tenant Billing Support
-Assist with preparation of utility allowance billing entries.
-Enter billing adjustments as directed
-Verify tenant billing reports for accuracy.
-Maintain documentation supporting billing changes.
-Assist with tracking tenant charges and corrections.
-Support review of tenant account balances as needed.
-Portability Processing Support (HCV / Section 8)
-Record portability payments received from other housing authorities.
-Prepare deposit documentation for portability funds
-Allocate payments to appropriate tenant profiles.
-Track portability receivables and payments.
-Prepare and send portability billing to partner housing authorities.
-Follow up on outstanding portability billings.
-Maintain portability tracking logs and supporting documentation.

Required Qualifications
-Basic knowledge of accounting or finance principles
-Strong data entry accuracy and attention to detail
-Experience working with financial records, deposits, receipts, or invoices
-Basic to intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
-Ability to maintain organized records and documentation
-Ability to follow written procedures and internal controls
-Strong organizational and time-management skills
-Ability to handle confidential financial information
-Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Preferred Qualifications
-Experience in a finance office, housing authority, or government environment
-Familiarity with accounts receivable or tenant billing processes
