Financial Analyst
Salary: $65,000 – $80,000

AppleOne is partnering with a growing organization to recruit their Financial Analyst who will play a strategic role in supporting executive leadership through high level financial analysis, contract evaluation, and project oversight. This is a professional, exempt position requiring strong analytical capability, sound judgment, and the ability to independently manage critical financial responsibilities.
Position Summary
The Financial Analyst is responsible for conducting detailed financial analysis, evaluating contracts and capital projects, and providing data driven recommendations that guide executive decision making. This role works closely with senior leadership to assess performance, identify risks and opportunities, and ensure that financial and operational initiatives align with company objectives.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Analysis & Reporting
• Independently analyze financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and investment scenarios to support strategic planning.
• Develop and maintain financial models for development projects, capital investments, and operational initiatives.
• Identify financial trends, risks, and opportunities and communicate insights through executive-level reports and presentations.
• Prepare dashboards, summaries, and presentations for leadership review.
Contract Review & Evaluation
• Review contracts, purchase agreements, and amendments to assess financial impact, risk exposure, and alignment with organizational goals.
• Evaluate key terms, milestones, and obligations and provide recommendations to leadership.
• Coordinate with legal, finance, and external partners to resolve contract-related issues requiring professional judgment.
Project & Transaction Oversight
• Provide analytical oversight of escrow and transaction processes, including timelines, funding requirements, and documentation review.
• Evaluate transaction structures, identify risks or discrepancies, and escalate issues when needed.
• Serve as a resource for internal teams on financial aspects of escrow and project activity.

Cross-Functional Leadership
• Lead assigned finance or development projects, with responsibility for prioritization, issue resolution, and solution recommendations.
• Monitor project financial performance against budgets and timelines and advise executives of variances or risks.
• Participate in due diligence for acquisitions, development projects, or strategic initiatives.
Process Improvement
• Support ongoing enhancement of financial analysis tools, reporting processes, and internal controls.
• Act as a trusted financial advisor to senior leadership on assigned initiatives.

Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, or a similar professional role.
• Proven ability to exercise discretion, independent judgment, and handle confidential information.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling.
• Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with contract review, real estate, development, or capital project analysis.
• Background in agriculture, manufacturing, or other asset intensive industries.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
