About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Operations Analyst to join our team. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of trade processing, reconciliation, portfolio accounting, and risk management functions. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, technically proficient, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
-Assist with daily trade processing and reconciliation for trades and books.
-Monitor and report on trade status, valuations, and settlements.
-Support portfolio accounting and performance measurement efforts.
-Aid in risk management by monitoring exposures and position limits.
-Collaborate with team members to identify and implement process improvements.
-Perform administrative tasks as required to support the team and operations.
Requirements:
-Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, or a related field (preferred).
-Strong interest in financial markets and investments, especially commodities.
-Prior experience in an operations role within a financial institution or commodities trading firm (preferred).
-Ability to code and automate tasks and models into routine jobs.
-Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Python.
-Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
-High attention to detail and accuracy.
-Strong organizational and time-management skills.
-Capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Work Environment:
This position will be fully in office. Remote work is not available for this role.
