We are assisting a high-volume dealership in Charlotte with the search for an experienced Finance & Insurance (F&I) Manager. This is a direct hire opportunity offering a strong base salary plus an uncapped commission structure. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, balancing the sales-driven nature of customer financing with the accuracy and compliance of accounting responsibilities.

Position Overview
The F&I Manager plays a critical role in maximizing customer financing opportunities, ensuring deal compliance, and strengthening lender relationships. This is not a cold-calling position. All opportunities are generated through the existing customer pipeline, but success requires initiative, proactive engagement, and persuasive sales ability.

Key Responsibilities
Sales & Customer Engagement
Take ownership of financing opportunities provided by sales representatives
Proactively contact customers to secure in-house financing and prevent deals from leaving the dealership
Build and maintain relationships with lenders, banks, and financing partners
Professionally represent the dealership in client-facing interactions and occasional partner events
Manage the closing process including contracts, signatures, and documentation
Foster repeat business by becoming a trusted financing resource for customers
Accounting & Compliance
Submit deals accurately with all required documentation
Post journal entries for inventory and validate debits/credits
Ensure correct calculation of sales tax and federal excise tax (FET)
Confirm funding prior to advancing deals to accounting
Protect compliance by addressing incomplete or inaccurate submissions

What We’re Looking For
Strong sales drive with the ability to persuade, negotiate, and close deals
Solid foundation in accounting principles, including reconciliations and GL entries
Relationship-building skills with credibility among sales staff and external lenders
Service-oriented mindset with initiative and follow-through

Preferred Background
Experience in F&I, automotive, trucking, or dealership environments
Proven ability to balance customer-facing sales with accounting responsibilities
Demonstrated history of meeting or exceeding financing goals

Work Environment
Onsite, customer-facing position
Standard hours: 8:30–5:00 or 9:00–5:30, with flexibility based on deal flow
Fast-paced, collaborative culture with strong teamwork and accountability

Compensation & Growth
Base salary: $55,000
Uncapped monthly commission starting with the first deal closed
Top performers in similar roles earn between $200K–$290K+ annually
Commission structure and metrics will be reviewed during interviews

Success in the First 90 Days:
Establish trust with sales representatives
Take initiative to close financing deals independently
Ensure compliance and accuracy in all submissions
Demonstrate adaptability, confidence, and teamwork
