Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager for a direct hire opportunity in Torrance, CA. This role is ideal for a finance and accounting professional who enjoys leading financial operations, strengthening reporting processes, and supporting sound fiscal decision-making in a government and public sector environment.

The Finance Manager will play a key role in budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, internal controls, and operational finance leadership. Key Responsibilities

- Manage financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting activities to support organizational goals.
- Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including account analysis and financial statement preparation.
- Monitor financial performance, identify trends, and provide recommendations to leadership for improved efficiency and fiscal control.
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, internal policies, audit requirements, and public sector financial guidelines.
- Lead, mentor, and support accounting and finance team members while promoting accuracy, accountability, and process improvement.
- Partner with cross-functional departments to provide financial insight, reporting support, and budget guidance. Previous experience in government or non-profit organizations required along with MS Office Suite and database programs. 

Compensation and Benefits

- Salary range: $110,000 to $152,000 per year.
- Job type: Direct hire.
- Location: Torrance, CA.
