Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable and motivated Field Technician - Part Time for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Shreveport, Louisiana. This role supports construction materials testing and geotechnical field services at various project sites, making it a strong fit for someone who enjoys hands-on work, outdoor environments, and contributing to important engineering and construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist with construction materials testing and geotechnical field services at project sites.
- Help collect samples and perform basic testing of soil, concrete, asphalt, and other construction materials.
- Support field technicians, engineers, and project teams with daily site activities.
- Transport, organize, and maintain testing equipment and materials as needed.
- Follow project instructions, safety procedures, and field documentation requirements.
- Complete other field-related duties as assigned.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay: $16.00 to $18.00 per hour.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Assist with construction materials testing on active construction and engineering project sites.
- Support geotechnical field services, including sample collection and field testing activities.
- Transport and maintain field testing equipment.
- Follow safety procedures and project instructions in outdoor field environments.

- Valid driver’s license and good driving record required.
- 3-5 years of related field, construction, construction materials testing, geotechnical, or similar hands-on experience preferred.
- Comfortable working outdoors in hot, cold, and changing weather conditions.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including standing, walking, lifting, and carrying equipment or materials.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to various project sites.
- Dependable, punctual, safety-conscious, and willing to learn.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a construction or field environment.

Preferred Qualifications

- Previous experience in construction, construction materials testing, geotechnical work, or a related field.
- Experience testing soil, concrete, asphalt, or other construction materials.
- Familiarity with field safety practices and working around active construction sites.
