The client is a full-service organization that designs, develops, sells, and services solid-state power converters for aviation, defense, and industrial markets. They deliver innovative power solutions, including 400Hz frequency converters, 28VDC/270VDC power units, and ground power systems, ensuring reliability and efficiency for customers worldwide.

Job Summary:
We are hiring a Field Service Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair solid-state power conversion systems at customer sites. This role is ideal for candidates with experience in electrical systems, AC/DC power systems, and aviation ground support equipment who enjoy travel and hands-on technical work.

Responsibilities:
* Install, commission, and calibrate 400Hz frequency converters, 28VDC/270VDC power units, and related systems.
* Perform diagnostic testing, troubleshooting, and repairs on solid-state power systems.
* Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure compliance with industry standards.
* Provide on-site technical support and customer training.
* Maintain accurate service reports, parts usage, and documentation.
* Collaborate with engineering and technical support teams to resolve complex issues.
* Travel domestically and internationally (up to 50%).

Qualifications
Education: Associate degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, or equivalent military technical training.

Experience:
* 2+ years in field service technician roles, preferably in power systems or aviation ground support equipment.
* Hands-on experience with AC/DC power systems, solid-state electronics, and control systems.

Skills:
* Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
* Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical manuals.
* Proficiency with diagnostic tools and test equipment.

Other Requirements:
* Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain security clearance.
* Willingness to travel extensively and work in outdoor environments.

Preferred Qualifications
* Knowledge of 400Hz power systems and ground power units.
* Familiarity with aviation or defense industry standards.
