The Field Service Technician will perform installation, repair, preventative maintenance, leveling, alignment, and diagnostics on CNC machines in a fast-paced manufacturing service environment. Key Responsibilities
- Service complex CNC machines, including mills, lathes, and 5-axis equipment, with a focus on uptime, quality, and customer satisfaction.
- Perform machine installation, leveling, alignment, preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs.
- Troubleshoot hydraulic, electronic, software, electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical system issues.
- Respond with urgency to machine-down situations and complete repairs efficiently and professionally.
- Accurately document service activity, findings, repairs, parts usage, and next steps at the time of service.
- Communicate clearly with customers, team members, internal departments, and vendors regarding service status, arrival times, updates, and completion.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range: $70,000 to $90,000 per year.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Perform CNC machine service, repair, installation, preventative maintenance, leveling, and alignment.
- Troubleshoot CNC machine mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, controller, and software issues.
- Support customers during machine-down conditions with urgency, professionalism, and clear communication.
- Maintain accurate service documentation and proper care of company tools, parts, vehicle, and equipment.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience performing maintenance or service on CNC machines or related equipment.
- Experience with equipment such as CNC machines, HAAS, Matsuura, Makino, Okuma, mills, or lathes.
- Knowledge of OEM machine controllers, including FANUC and HAAS.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Strong mechanical aptitude, electrical aptitude, technical ability, and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate professionally at customer sites.
- Detail-oriented, accountable, self-managed, and able to work independently.
- Willingness to learn and stay current on new service procedures, equipment, and techniques.
Preferred Qualifications
- Matsuura CNC machine experience.
- Experience servicing 5-axis CNC machines.
- Prior field service experience in a manufacturing or machining environment.
