Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable Farm Mechanic for a direct hire opportunity in Bakersfield, CA. This role is ideal for a hands-on mechanic with experience repairing and maintaining tractors, farm equipment, and agricultural machinery in a fast-paced farming environment.

The Farm Mechanic will support daily equipment readiness by troubleshooting mechanical issues, performing repairs, and keeping machinery operating safely and efficiently. This is a strong opportunity for someone who enjoys independent work, takes pride in quality repairs, and is looking for a stable, long-term position with a team that values dependability, productivity, and strong work ethic.

This role is focused on agricultural and heavy equipment maintenance, not primarily diesel truck repair. Candidates with a background in farm equipment, tractors, implements, and machinery repair will be best aligned with the position.

Key Responsibilities

- Diagnose, repair, and maintain tractors, farm equipment, and agricultural machinery.
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and mechanical adjustments to keep equipment operating efficiently.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and equipment-related issues in a fast-paced farm environment.
- Complete repairs independently while maintaining safe and organized work practices.
- Support equipment readiness during peak operational periods and respond quickly to repair needs.
- Assist with maintenance on related farm vehicles and equipment as needed.

Compensation and Benefits

- Direct hire opportunity.
- Pay range: $23.00 to $26.00 per hour.
- Location: Bakersfield, CA.
