Key Responsibilities:
Case Management: Assist attorneys in managing family law cases, including divorce, child custody, and support matters.
Document Preparation: Draft and prepare legal documents such as petitions, motions, and agreements.
Client Interaction: Communicate with clients to gather information, provide updates, and assist with inquiries.
Research: Conduct legal research to support case preparation and strategy.
Court Filings: File legal documents with the court and ensure compliance with court procedures.
Scheduling: Coordinate and schedule meetings, hearings, and depositions.
Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to attorneys, including maintaining case files and managing correspondence.
Confidentiality: Ensure the confidentiality of client information and adhere to information security and data privacy policies.
Education and Experience:
Education: Associate's degree or paralegal certificate (Bachelor's degree preferred).
Experience: 2-3 years of experience as a paralegal, preferably in family law.
Skills and Qualifications:
Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Research: Proficiency in legal research and analysis.
Technology: Familiarity with legal software and case management systems.
Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with attorneys and other staff members.
